In a significant development, Ukraine has announced the creation of a cutting-edge laser weapon, dubbed the Tryzub, which is capable of shooting down aircraft from a distance of over 1.2 miles. This remarkable achievement was revealed by Ukraine’s Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems, Vadym Sukharevskyi, during a defense summit in Kyiv.
The Tryzub laser, named after Ukraine’s national symbol representing independence, strength, and unity, has been successfully tested, with Sukharevskyi confirming that it can shoot down aircraft at an altitude of over 2 kilometers (1.2 miles). Efforts are currently underway to enhance the weapon’s scale and capabilities, as reported by CNN, citing the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
This breakthrough development marks a significant milestone in Ukraine’s defense capabilities, and the country’s determination to strengthen its military prowess. The Tryzub laser weapon is a testament to Ukraine’s commitment to innovation and its resolve to protect its sovereignty.
