Allen Onyema, the Chairman of Air Peace, has appealed to Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu’s administration as it works to revamp the country’s economy. Onyema made this statement during a meeting with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he commended the President’s efforts to implement policies aimed at stabilizing the economy.
Onyema emphasized that despite the current economic challenges, President Tinubu’s reforms will ultimately benefit the country. He noted that the President has made significant progress in improving the aviation sector, citing the recent changes introduced by the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo.
According to Onyema, President Tinubu’s economic policies are designed to restructure Nigeria’s economy, contrary to the misconception that he is trying to “restructure” the country along regional lines. Onyema stated, “The President is a businessman and is trying to reorganize the economy through his policies. Some of us in the business community understand what he is trying to do. What he is doing is restructuring Nigeria’s system. Many people think that restructuring means dividing the country into regions, but what Tinubu is doing is genuine restructuring by changing the way things are done in the country to achieve better results in the future.”
Onyema’s comments come as President Tinubu’s administration continues to face economic challenges, including a struggling economy ². However, Onyema remains optimistic that the President’s reforms will yield positive results in the long run.
