Dr. Kenneth Ugbala, the board member representing the South East zone in the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), has revealed that President Bola Tinubu has directed the agency to ensure that all roads across the country are properly maintained. According to Ugbala, the president’s mandate is to aggressively attend to the maintenance of all roads, regardless of region. Ugbala dismissed claims that the South East region’s roads are being neglected in favor of the Northern region. He emphasized that roads in the South East are receiving adequate attention under the Tinubu administration. Citing examples, Ugbala mentioned that the Enugu-Onitsha road, the 9th mile/Gboko/Makurdi road, and other roads within the zone are benefiting from the coastal road projects.
