Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed the Tinubu administration’s dedication to delivering a better Nigeria, driven by its transformative policy framework, the Renewed Hope Agenda.

This agenda is built on four core pillars: democracy, development, demographics, and diaspora engagement, aiming to reposition Nigeria as a prime global investment destination. Shettima emphasized that the administration’s foreign policy approach, dubbed the

‘Tinubu Doctrine,’ centers around a ‘4-D Diplomacy Strategy.’ This strategy promotes democracy, drives economic development, harnesses Nigeria’s demographic potential, and engages with the diaspora community.

The Vice President highlighted several initiatives, including a ₦75 billion investment initiative to revolutionize the manufacturing sector and the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Development Fund to facilitate effective infrastructure development across key economic

sectors.Shettima also acknowledged the vital role of Nigerians in the diaspora, who contributed over $168 billion in remittances between 2015 and 2022. He announced a $10 billion Diaspora Fund, a multi-sectoral investment initiative set to launch soon, which will strengthen ties

with the diaspora community while boosting forex inflows to support national development plans.The administration’s commitment to security was also emphasized, with Shettima affirming their dedication to guaranteeing the safety of lives and properties through regional and national interventions.

The United Nations has acknowledged Nigeria’s progress under the Tinubu administration, citing reforms that have stabilized the economy and tackled insecurity.

The British High Commissioner to Nigeria has also expressed the UK’s support for the administration’s security strategies and commitment to transparency and accountability in governance.
