A devastating incident occurred in the Chikakore area of Kubwa, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as gunmen suspected to be kidnappers abducted a family of five and two others. The attack, which took place around 12am on Monday, has sent shockwaves throughout the community.According to eyewitnesses, approximately 30 armed men, equipped with AK-47 rifles, stormed the residence of Mr. Adefija Michael Akinropo, abducting him, his wife, son, and elder brother. The gunmen also targeted a nearby poultry farm, where they kidnapped another man and injured his wife.The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident, stating that she would gather more information before releasing a statement. “Let me check with the DPO, and I will get back to you,” she said.The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of residents in the FCT, particularly in the Bwari Area Council. The police are urged to take swift action to rescue the abducted victims and bring the perpetrators to justice.
