Your liver is like the chief-in-charge of keeping your body clean and healthy. See it as the chief of staff. It; Filters toxins (like alcohol) from your blood. Helps you digest food. Keeps blood sugar and cholesterol in check. Fights infections and disease.
When you abuse alcohol, you attack this hardworking chief organ. Instead of going to work, you are asking him to sleep back and watch your enemies destroy you. How does that sound? Well, that’s how alcohol act in your body.
“When the drum is beaten too much, it bursts.”— Too much alcohol breaks your liver down and this is what this thread is all about. We will look at the stages of damages done by alcohol and ways you can protect your liver henceforth.
The Stages of Alcohol-Related Liver Damage
Drinking alcohol over time leads to 3 major problems in your liver:
Fatty Liver
Drinking alcohol/beer, even for just a few days, causes fat to build up in your liver. You might not feel sick, but it’s a BIG warning sign. If you stop drinking early, your liver can heal at this stage.
This is how fatty liver disease looks. A potential danger if you don’t stop!
Alcoholic Hepatitis
This is when the liver becomes inflamed. People often don’t realize they’re damaging their liver until this happens.
Sometimes, it can even come after a wild night of binge drinking! Mild alcoholic hepatitis can heal if you stop drinking, but severe cases can be deadly.
Its the combination of double problem on the liver – fats + inflamed liver
Don’t wait until your liver shouts get to this stage. The chances of reversing the damage is very low
Cirrhosis (The Final Stage)
Here’s where things get really serious. Cirrhosis means your liver is full of scars, and it can’t work well anymore.
This damage can’t be undone, but quitting alcohol can stop things from getting worse.
When your liver is scarred, it’s too late to fix it, but you can only stop further damage by quitting alcohol. Because in this stage, other organs such as the kidneys, heart and brain are beginning to get affected. 3. Can this liver cirrhosis heal?
Yes! Your liver is tough, but only if you quit alcohol early. At the fatty liver or mild hepatitis stage, the damage is reversible.
But remember, once cirrhosis sets in, the damage is done. Quitting alcohol becomes your only chance to live longer.
Once you already get the final stage. There’s no medication or treatment to make the liver heal! None.
Where does Garlic and Tumeric comes in?
As earlier mentioned, there’s no medicine to completely fix alcohol-damaged liver. The only real solution is to STOP drinking, and the sooner, the better. Every drink you give up brings you closer to healing. The earlier you take a break, the better the chances of getting healed.
However, when you quit alcohol, you can improve the health of your liver to prevent further damage with:
garlic
turmeric
Garlic is such good food to cleanse your liver due to its sulfur-containing compounds, which help protect your liver from damage. 2 – 3 pieces a day is enough for 1 month.
– Turmeric is one of the best foods to cleanse your liver because it also aids the liver in producing bile, which helps the liver break down fats and toxins build up from alcohol. 2 spoon to your tea or food is enough each day.
NB: see this as fix mechanism to help get your liver back in shape and to prevent further damages. But taking Alcohol has some benefits?
Your body is precious gifts. Don’t let alcohol be the thief that steals your health. It’s never too late to protect your liver and your future.
ALCOHOL HAS ZERO HEALTH BENEFITS, but plenty of harm!
You damage your liver, hurt your relationships, and shorten your life. Ask yourself: is alcohol worth your health? Your life? If your answer is “no,” then it’s time to say goodbye to alcohol.
