Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the former deputy Senate president, has made a bold prediction regarding the fate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State. According to Omo-Agege, the PDP is on the brink of collapse, and this impending downfall will become apparent in the 2027 general elections.

Omo-Agege made this assertion during a gathering of All Progressives Congress (APC) elders, leaders, and stakeholders in Uvwie, Effurun, Uvwie local government area. He cited the recent defection of Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu as a significant indicator of the PDP’s impending collapse.

“I want to assure you that as we approach 2027, the PDP will collapse very soon,” Omo-Agege stated confidently. “If you think we have problems in the APC, we don’t have problems compared to what is about to happen in the PDP. The whole thing has started.”

Omo-Agege further emphasized that the PDP’s collapse is already underway, pointing to the defection of former governor Chief Ibori’s daughter and the subsequent collapse of the PDP in Ethiope West and Ethiope East.

He also assured stakeholders that the forthcoming APC congress would be conducted using the Option A4 approach, ensuring transparency and preventing any individual or group from compiling a list of executives.
