Ogun State Police Command Arrests 22-Year-Old for Burglary and Theft

A 22-year-old man, John Odeh, has been apprehended by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly stealing a motorcycle and other valuables worth N266,000 in the Odeda area. Odeh was caught riding the stolen Bajaj Boxer motorcycle on Sunday at around 5 pm.

According to Omolola Odutola, the police spokesperson, the community chairman reported the incident to the police command, leading to the deployment of detectives to the scene. During questioning, Odeh confessed to breaking into the homes of Friday Clement and Ode Daniel, both 22 years old, to steal the items.

A red Bajaj Boxer motorcycle with registration number ABG 691 VC

Two bags containing clothes

A power bank

A pair of shoes

Odutola stated that the suspect is currently being held by the police, and further investigations are ongoing. This incident highlights the Ogun State Police Command’s commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety.

In a related development, operatives of the Ago-Iwoye Division arrested a scavenger, Bashiru Rabiu, for tampering with and stealing window grilles. The suspect was caught by a resident, Abdulrahman Rasheed, on Sunday at around 11 am.
