In a bid to enhance waste management practices, the Ogun State Government has issued a directive requiring all residential buildings to provide covered waste bins in front of their premises. This mandate aims to promote a cleaner and healthier environment by ensuring that waste is properly contained and disposed of. In 2019, the Ogun State Waste Management Authority (OGWAMA) was established to oversee waste management activities in the state. OGWAMA has been working tirelessly to ensure that waste is managed effectively, and this new directive is a testament to their commitment.By providing covered waste bins, residents can play their part in maintaining a clean environment. This simple yet effective measure can help reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills and waterways, thereby minimizing the risk of environmental pollution.The Ogun State Government has emphasized that failure to comply with this directive may result in sanctions.
