The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM, Daniel Olukoya, has emphasized the need for divine intervention in addressing Nigeria’s insecurity challenges. Olukoya, who spoke at the Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA, during its 34th and 35th convocation ceremonies, stressed that humanity is helpless in the face of insecurity, and only divine intervention can bring lasting solutions.
According to Olukoya, “There is only one weapon that can kill any problem, and it is prayer. No matter how strong the problem is, prayer can dismantle it.” He emphasized that Nigeria needs divine intervention, adding that “Let God intervene in what we are doing. Divine intervention is greater than human intellect.”
Olukoya also attributed the current state of insecurity in Nigeria to humanity’s helplessness. He noted that “From what is happening in the world, you can see that God is showing mankind that they are helpless.” He emphasized that prayer is the only solution to Nigeria’s insecurity challenges, adding that “We need to pray for divine intervention in Nigeria.”
In addition to addressing insecurity, Olukoya also spoke on the issue of high school fees in Nigeria. He attributed the high fees to the cost of energy required to run these institutions. He noted that “It is not the fault of those proprietors. I am one of them. I am always supportive of the poor because I know how difficult it was for me to get to the university.”
Olukoya emphasized that the current situation in Nigeria is that if you cannot pay good money to lecturers or professors, you won’t get good teachers. He added that “And if you run a private university and are paying less than federal universities, you will not get good professors.”
