In 2023, the command generated N52.7 billion in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). The significant increase in revenue generation can be attributed to the command’s efforts to strengthen trade compliance and enforcement. The NCS’s revenue generation efforts are crucial to the Nigerian government’s plans to diversify its revenue streams and reduce dependence on oil exports. The Kano/Jigawa Command’s achievement is a testament to the NCS’s commitment to this goal.
