In response to the escalating Ebola crisis in Uganda, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has intensified surveillance at airports across the country. This proactive measure aims to prevent the potential spread of the deadly virus to Nigeria.The NCDC’s heightened vigilance is part of a comprehensive strategy to safeguard the health and well-being of Nigerians. The centre is working closely with the Federal Ministry of Health, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that all necessary precautions are taken.As Uganda struggles to contain the Ebola outbreak, the NCDC is taking no chances. The centre has activated its incident management system to coordinate a swift response in the event of a suspected Ebola case. Additionally, NCDC officials are conducting enhanced screening of passengers arriving from Uganda and other high-risk countries.
