The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has issued a stern warning to Qatar Airways following multiple reports of passenger rights violations affecting travelers in Nigeria.
The aviation regulatory body emphasized that all airlines operating in Nigeria must strictly adhere to local and international passenger protection standards.
According to NCAA, Qatar Airways has repeatedly failed to uphold these standards, including delays in compensation for affected passengers and non-compliance with established grievance redress procedures.
The authority warned that continued violations could lead to sanctions, including fines, suspension of flight operations, or revocation of the airline’s operating license within Nigeria.
NCAA’s statement highlighted the importance of safeguarding passenger interests and ensuring airlines maintain transparency and accountability.
Travelers are advised to report any incidents of rights violations directly to the NCAA to ensure swift action is taken.
