Lagos Shopping Festival Set to Boost Employment and Commerce

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has unveiled the maiden edition of the Lagos Shopping Festival, scheduled to take place from December 23 to 25 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Lagos Island. The festival promises to create employment opportunities and drive commercial activities in the state.

According to Governor Sanwo-Olu, the inaugural Lagos Shopping Festival will drive commerce by supporting local businesses, attracting global brands, and creating direct and indirect employment opportunities through vendor participation, logistics, and event and entertainment management ¹. The festival is being organised by the Lagos State government through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts in partnership with Tolaram Africa Group, Guinness Nigeria Plc, Zenith Bank Plc, and Chain Reactions Africa.

The Governor emphasized that the festival will attract local and international tourists to the state, positioning Lagos as a premium destination for business and leisure. The event will feature discounted shopping opportunities, live performances by top artistes, non-stop rave parties, and family-friendly attractions.

Transformative Experience: The Lagos Shopping Festival promises to redefine December in Lagos, offering something for everyone and bringing families, friends, Nigerians in the Diaspora, and Lagosians together in celebration.
