
The Lagos State Police Command has successfully apprehended four notorious armed robbers who were allegedly involved
in a series of inter-state car thefts across the region. The arrests mark a significant breakthrough in the fight against organized
crime targeting vehicle owners in Lagos and neighboring states. According to a statement released by the Lagos Police
Public Relations Officer (PPRO), the suspects were tracked through intelligence-led operations conducted by
the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The four individuals, whose names are currently being withheld
pending further investigations, are believed to have masterminded several high-profile car theft incidents that
spanned multiple states, including Ogun, Oyo, and Edo.The PPRO further revealed that the gang specialized in targeting both
private and commercial vehicles, often resorting to violent means to execute their criminal activities. “Our officers, acting on
verified intelligence, were able to dismantle this dangerous network and recover several stolen vehicles,” the statement
noted.The Lagos State Police Command has urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities, assuring
that all operatives will continue to collaborate with security agencies across state borders to curb the menace of armed
robbery and car theft.The suspects are currently in custody and are expected to face multiple charges, including armed
robbery, theft, and criminal conspiracy. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities have promised that more arrests may be
