Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has sworn in 19 new commissioners and advisers to strengthen his administration and enhance governance in the state. The swearing-in ceremony, which took place at the Government House in Kano, marked a significant milestone in the governor’s efforts to deliver good governance to the people of Kano State.
The New Commissioners and Their Portfolios
The newly sworn-in commissioners include:
Shehu Wada Sagagi: Commissioner for Investment, Commerce, and Industry
Dr. Ismail Aliyu Danmaraya: Commissioner for Finance
Dr. Shehu Sani: Commissioner for Power and Sustainable Energy
Dr. Dahiru Hashimu: Commissioner for Environment
Abdulkadir Abdulsalam: Commissioner for Rural Development
Abdullahi Waiya: Commissioner for Information
Wada Ma’aji: Commissioner for Public Procurement
Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo: Commissioner for Local Government
Haruna Umar Doguwa: Commissioner for Education
Ali Haruna Makoda: Commissioner for Water Resources
Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf: Commissioner for Health
Engr. Marwan Ahmad: Commissioner for Works and Housing
Barr. Haruna Dederi: Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice
Dr. Yusuf Kofar Mata: Commissioner for Higher Education

SSA Tijjani Abubakar Kaura Goje: Special Adviser, Lagos Liaison Office
Malam Sani Abdullahi Tofa: Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Duties.
