Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, the Chief of Army Staff, has urged troops from the Joint Task Force North-East Operation Hadin Kai to intensify their efforts in combating terrorism and insurgency in the North East region. This call to action was made during his visit to the headquarters of the theatre command of Operation Hadin Kai in Maiduguri on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Oluyede’s primary objective for the visit was to interact with troops, gather firsthand information about their welfare and challenges, and provide solutions to boost their morale. The Chief of Army Staff reaffirmed his commitment to providing the necessary support to enhance the operational effectiveness of the troops in restoring peace and stability to the North East.
During his visit, Oluyede emphasized the importance of discipline and commitment among the troops. The Chief of Army Staff also visited the 7 Division Medical Services and Hospital, where he met with injured officers and soldiers undergoing treatment.
