In a significant move to revolutionize Nigeria’s agricultural sector, the Federal Government has inaugurated a Technical
Committee tasked with overseeing the establishment of Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZs) across the country.
The inauguration ceremony took place in Abuja, with key officials from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security in attendance.
The committee’s primary mandate is to facilitate the development of agro-industrial hubs that will serve as catalysts for economic growth,
job creation, and sustainable agricultural practices.The SAPZ initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to diversify the economy,
reduce dependence on oil exports, and enhance food security. By establishing these zones, the government aims to create an enabling environment for agro-processing industries,
