Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Aviation Minister, has described the arrest and detention of Simon Ekpa, a Biafra agitator, as good news. According to reports, Ekpa was arrested and detained by Finnish authorities over terror-related crimes.

Reacting to the news, Fani-Kayode took to his official X handle to express his thoughts on the matter. He wrote, “The arrest and detention of one Simon Ekpa by the Finnish authorities for terrorism-related charges and inciting terrorism in Nigeria is good news.”

Fani-Kayode went on to describe Ekpa as a “feral psychopath, a hate-filled sociopath, a notorious coward and a man of blood.” He also accused Ekpa of being a “religious bigot, an unrepentant racist, an ethnic supremacist and an enemy of humanity.”

The former Aviation Minister lamented that Ekpa derives “pleasure from killing and torturing” the people of the South-East. He also stated that many innocent Nigerians were killed on Ekpa’s orders and as a consequence of his “foul and divisive rhetoric.”

Fani-Kayode hopes that Ekpa’s arrest will serve as a lesson to others in Nigeria who believe that division, violence, and terror are the only way forward. He emphasized that such individuals have no respect for the sanctity of human life.

It’s worth noting that Ekpa’s arrest has sparked mixed reactions, with some Nigerians hailing the move as a step towards curbing terrorism in the country, while others have expressed skepticism about the Finnish authorities’ ability to bring Ekpa to justice.
