#EndBadGovernance: Soldiers step in as protests overwhelm police in Maiduguri

Defying a 24-hour curfew declared on Thursday, the protesters took to the streets again from the early hours of Friday morning.

The protest turned violent, with four residents killed by soldiers in front of Kime petrol station in Bolori area of the state capital.

The Borno government imposed a 24-hour curfew across the state in response to the protests.

The #EndBadGovernance protests are part of a nationwide movement against economic hardship, corruption, and other issues.
