Renowned journalist and publisher of Ovations magazine, Dele Momodu, has come out to debunk rumors circulating on social media that Nigerian billionaire businessman, Mike Adenuga, has passed away. Momodu took to his personal X account on Tuesday night to clarify that Adenuga is indeed alive and well.
According to Momodu, the 71-year-old Adenuga is hale and hearty, and has been working tirelessly to support the Nigerian economy. Momodu claimed to have spoken to Adenuga on the phone, and stated that the billionaire was at his desk, working round the clock.
Momodu urged Nigerians to ignore the fake news, saying “Ignore the fake news… The Spirit of Africa DR MICHAEL ADENIYI AGBOLADE ISOLA ADENUGA is hale and hearty. He’s right now at his desk working round the clock in support of the Nigerian economy… He just called me to thank everyone for their concern.”
The rumors of Adenuga’s death had sparked widespread concern among Nigerians, with many taking to social media to express their condolences. However, Momodu’s clarification has put the rumors to rest, and confirmed that the billionaire is alive and well.
It’s worth noting that Mike Adenuga is one of Nigeria’s most successful businessmen, with a net worth estimated to be in the billions of dollars. He is the founder of Globacom, one of Nigeria’s largest telecommunications companies, and has investments in various sectors, including oil and gas, banking, and real estate.
