Former French footballer William Gallas has cautioned Chelsea against signing Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, even if the Egyptian star becomes available for free. With Salah entering the final 12 months of his Anfield contract, speculation surrounding his future has intensified. Although Liverpool is eager to extend his stay, Salah has revealed that he has not received a new contract offer, sparking concerns that he may leave the club.

Gallas, in an interview with Prime Casino, expressed his reservations about Chelsea pursuing Salah, citing potential disruptions to the team’s chemistry. “I think Chelsea should not take Mohamed Salah even if he’s available for free,” Gallas stated. “The current Chelsea players are learning to play together, growing together, and it’s working well under Enzo Maresca.

“Bringing in a player like Salah might not be good for the team, despite his incredible talent in the Premier League.” Gallas’ warning comes as Chelsea continues to rebuild under new manager Enzo Maresca. The Blues have been active in the transfer market, signing several young players to bolster their squad.

Meanwhile, Liverpool is facing a challenging situation with Salah’s contract stalemate. The Reds are eager to retain their star player, but Salah’s potential departure has sparked interest from various clubs, including those in Saudi Arabia. With the transfer window approaching, Chelsea’s decision on whether to pursue Salah will be closely watched.
