The English Premier League (EPL) side, Chelsea Football Club, are not giving up on securing the signature of Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen.
Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, disclosed this on his X page (formerly Twitter).
According to Romano, Chelsea informed Napoli that they could proceed on an initial loan to sign the player in the final days of the transfer window.
‘‘Chelsea remains interested in Victor Osimhen as the option was re-activated weeks ago and talks are still ongoing.
‘‘But #CFC informed Napoli that they could proceed on loan in the final days.
‘‘Osimhen and his camp always been clear, not open to loan/no way to reduce salary,” he wrote on X.
Romano also confirmed that Chelsea sees Romelu Lukaku and Victor Osimhen as separate deals and there are no negotiations for a swap deal between the two players.
Chelsea is working on selling Lukaku permanently to Napoli, with personal terms agreed and ongoing talks for the sale.
