The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has issued a stern warning to job seekers participating in its ongoing recruitment exercise to remain vigilant against fraudsters demanding payments for employment.
In an official statement posted on its verified X handle on Tuesday, the Board reminded Nigerians that the recruitment exercise is completely transparent, seamless, and absolutely free of charge.
Okeh Juliet, Head of Press and Public Relations at CDCFIB, reiterated in the statement that no applicant would ever be required to pay fees or disclose personal banking details at any stage of the recruitment process.
The statement emphasized,”At no point will any applicant be asked to pay a fee, disclose personal banking information, or make any form of financial contribution to advance in the recruitment.”
CDCFIB further reassured applicants that updates on the next stage of the recruitment process will be officially announced in due course. Applicants were strongly advised to rely solely on CDCFIB’s official communication channels for authentic information and notifications.
“Applicants are strongly advised to rely only on official CDCFIB communication channels for authentic updates regarding the next stages of the exercise,” the statement added.
The Board also reaffirmed its commitment to fairness, integrity, and accountability, highlighting its mission to attract the most qualified candidates for Nigeria’s paramilitary services.
In addition, CDCFIB encouraged candidates to report any suspicious activity, solicitations, or financial demands to the nearest security agency for prompt investigation and action.
This warning serves as a crucial reminder for Nigerians seeking employment in the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration services to stay alert and avoid falling victim to recruitment scams.
