The Borno State Police Command has recorded a significant success in its efforts to curb drug abuse and trafficking in the state, with the arrest of a suspected drug peddler.
The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was apprehended by a team of police officers who have been working tirelessly to rid the state of illicit substances.
According to the police, the suspect was arrested in possession of a large quantity of illicit drugs, including cannabis, tramadol, and other substances. The arrest was made possible through intelligence gathering and surveillance, which led the police to the suspect’s hideout.
The Commissioner of Police in Borno State, Mr. Abdu Umar, has commended his officers for their dedication and hard work, which led to the arrest of the suspected drug peddler. “This arrest is a testament to our commitment to ridding Borno State of illicit substances and ensuring that our communities are safe and healthy,” Mr. Umar said.
The arrest of the suspected drug peddler is expected to have a significant impact on the war against drug abuse in Borno State. It is hoped that the arrest will serve as a deterrent to others involved in the illicit trade and that it will also lead to a reduction in the incidence of drug-related crimes in the state.
