Ogun State Police Command Parades 25 Suspects for Heinous Crimes

The Ogun State Police Command has taken a significant step in maintaining law and order by parading 25 suspected criminals for various crimes, including kidnapping, murder, and cultism. Commissioner of Police Lanre Ogunlowo presented the suspects on Monday at

the command’s headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, revealing that the arrests were made within the last three weeks. Notable Cases Among the suspects paraded was Afeez Ayeteru, who allegedly beheaded an 80-year-old woman, Aduke, with a knife in the Ado-Odo Ota area of the state. The police responded swiftly to a distress call and apprehended Ayeteru as he attempted to flee.

Another shocking case involved 45-year-old twin brothers Taiwo Yemitan and Kehinde Yemitan, who allegedly killed and dismembered the body of a woman known as Darasimi for rituals in the Lafenwa area of Abeokuta. Taiwo Yemitan confessed to selling human parts killed by others and claimed the victim was his friend, stating it was his first time killing someone.

Commissioner Ogunlowo issued a stern warning to criminals in the state, urging them to desist from their actions or face the full force of the law. He assured that the suspects would face charges in court once the investigation was completed.

Ogunlowo emphasized the importance of timely information from the public in preventing and addressing criminal activities. He encouraged citizens to continue providing valuable intelligence to aid the police in maintaining peace and security in the state.
