Nasir El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State, has finally broken his silence on the rumors surrounding his alleged plan to defect from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In a statement released on his verified X handle, El-Rufai categorically denied the rumors, labeling them as “patent lies”. The former governor’s response comes after speculation began circulating about his potential defection to the PDP. However, El-Rufai has reassured his supporters and the general public that he remains committed to the APC, and has no intention of joining the opposition party. El-Rufai’s statement is a clear indication that he will not be swayed by rumors or tempted to abandon his party. Instead, he has chosen to focus on his work and continue serving the people of Kaduna State.It’s worth noting that El-Rufai has referred the lead peddlers of the fake news to his lawyers for legal action, demonstrating his commitment to holding those responsible for spreading false information accountable.
