Abandoned Toyota Prado Land Cruiser Jeep Recovered in Abuja, Police Seek Owner

Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have made a significant discovery, recovering an abandoned Toyota Prado Land Cruiser Jeep in Abuja. The vehicle, a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), was found along David Ejoor Street, opposite Adisa Estate, Apo-Gudu, during a routine patrol on December 31, 2024.According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Josephine Adeh, the recovered vehicle had no registration number. However, a search of the vehicle yielded several items, including a silver-colored eagle insignia, video/audio cables, and a car stereo remote.Further investigation revealed that the sticker showing the engine and chassis numbers near the driver’s door had been removed, and the windscreen appeared to have been recently replaced. The vehicle has been towed to the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki II for safekeeping.The police are now calling on members of the public who may have reported a missing vehicle matching the description of the recovered Toyota Prado Jeep to visit the FCT Command for verification and possible recovery.
