A disturbing incident has unfolded in Imo State, Nigeria, where a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Enyinnaya, has been taken into custody by the authorities. The priest is accused of fatally shooting a teenage boy during the New Year Mass held at St. Columbus Catholic Church in Amaimo, Ikeduru Local Government Area.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when the teenager allegedly threw knockouts (firecrackers) inside the church, causing a disruption during the service. The priest, reportedly enraged by the disturbance, allegedly retrieved a firearm and shot the teenager, resulting in his tragic death.
