The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has responded to Governor Sim Fubara’s threats to continue using his “red biro” against his enemies. Wike reminded Fubara that he has been using the same red biro for 14 years and is still using it, implying that Fubara’s threats are nothing new.
Fubara had vowed to continue crushing his enemies during the crossover into the 2025 church service held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Opobo Town in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area. He boasted that “the red biro is still filled” and that “every enemy plan will continue to crash.”
However, Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, fired back at Fubara, saying that he has only used his red biro for less than two years. Olayinka posted on X, “Someone who has only used the red biro for less than two years is somewhere reminding himself and boasting… Issokay. Shouldn’t he also be reminded that someone has used the same red biro for 14 years and is still using it?”
The exchange between Wike and Fubara highlights the ongoing rivalry between the two politicians. Wike’s response is seen as a warning to Fubara not to underestimate his experience and influence.
