A close friend of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, Buchi Laba, has categorically denied rumors linking the Super Eagles star with a January transfer to Manchester United. Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been in sensational form, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists in just 15 appearances across all competitions.
The 25-year-old’s impressive performances have cemented his status as one of Europe’s standout performers this season, sparking rumors of a potential move to Manchester United. However, Laba has rubbished these claims, stating that Osimhen has no agent or representative and has officially parted ways with his former agent, Roberto Calenda.
Laba ,wrote on his X handle monitor by SPYROWNEWS to clarify the situation, writing: “This Report is 100% false. Victor Osimhen has no agent or representative. He has officially parted ways with him.” He further emphasized that Osimhen now works directly with his lawyer and that there has been no contact made with the player, Napoli, or Galatasaray regarding a potential transfer.
It is worth noting that Osimhen severed ties with his agent, Roberto Calenda, after failing to secure a transfer out of Napoli last summer. This development has led to speculation about the player’s future, but Laba’s statement has provided clarity on the situation.
