Nnaji highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to advancing Nigeria’s industrial and technological base, aligning with President Tinubu’s eight-point agenda. This agenda focuses on:

Eradicating poverty

Fostering job creation

Through strategic initiatives, the Ministry leverages science, technology, and innovation to tackle poverty, create jobs, and boost economic resilience. Nnaji emphasized the importance of transforming research and development into market-ready products for sustainable growth.

The training program enables the commercialization of research and development products, aligning with the Ministry’s goals of strengthening the naira and diversifying Nigeria’s economy. FIIRO’s technologies provide skills to Nigeria’s youth and women, promoting self-sufficiency and socio-economic development.

Strategic partnerships and MoUs have been established to leverage local raw materials and human resources. The Ministry’s Technology and Innovation Centers serve as hubs for stakeholders to enhance R&D applications and foster innovation.

Nnaji encouraged trainees to approach the program with dedication, forming innovation clusters to promote Nigeria’s transition to a production-driven economy. He urged stakeholders to support young Nigerians by purchasing their products, ensuring sustainability and market viability.
