Didi Esther Walson-Jack, Chairman of the National Council on Establishments and Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, emphasized the critical role

of the apex policy-making body in effectively implementing government policies during her keynote address at the Council meeting in Ede, Osun State.

She stressed that the Civil Service’s capacity to plan, implement, and monitor initiatives efficiently is vital to achieving national objectives, particularly in supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Walson-Jack expressed gratitude to Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola J. Adeleke, for hosting the National Council on Establishments meeting and providing warm hospitality to stakeholders. She reaffirmed her commitment to collaborating with State Heads of Service to enhance capacity building and achieve shared goals.

In his remarks, Deputy Governor Kola Adewusi, representing Governor Adeleke, welcomed the Council members and acknowledged the public service as

the driving force behind the state’s progress. He prioritized the welfare of workers and pensioners in his 5-Point Action Plan, urging meaningful deliberations to propel the nation forward.

Walson-Jack emphasized the importance of unity among public sector stakeholders for successful reforms. Meaningful deliberations and effective policy implementation are vital for advancing the nation.

Walson-Jack’s leadership approach focuses on openness, collaboration, and empowerment, aiming to create a work environment that fosters mutual respect, transparency, and accountability.

Her vision for the Civil Service includes efficiency, accountability, and staff well-being, recognizing staff as the greatest asset. By promoting innovation and creativity, Walson-Jack seeks to drive reforms and improve service delivery.
