
In a tragic escalation of violence in Southern Kaduna, armed bandits launched a deadly assault on a police station,
resulting in the deaths of several officers. The incident occurred on Friday evening as confirmed by eye witnesses, when the
assailants, heavily armed, stormed the facility with the apparent aim of freeing detained colleagues. According to reports,
the bandits arrived in multiple vehicles and initiated a gun battle with the officers on duty. The officers were killed in the
divisional police headquarters in Zonkwa The exchange of fire lasted for several minutes, leading to the unfortunate loss of
life among the police personnel. The attackers managed to overpower the station’s defenses temporarily but were eventually repelled by reinforcements.
Local residents expressed shock and fear as the sound of gunfire echoed through the area. Many have called for increased security measures to prevent further
