
Councillors from across the 27 local government areas of Borno State have publicly endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim
Shettima for re-election, expressing confidence in their leadership and achievements so far.
The councillors made their declaration during a gathering in Maiduguri, where they praised the Tinubu administration’s commitment to rebuilding the economy,
improving security, and investing in infrastructure, particularly in Northern Nigeria.
Speaking on behalf of the group, one of the councillors noted that the endorsement was driven by visible progress in
governance and the renewed hope agenda championed by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He added that President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima had demonstrated strong leadership and dedication to the unity and development of Nigeria.
“We have seen significant improvements since President Tinubu took office. His administration has shown a genuine desire to stabilize the country’s economy and strengthen democratic governance.
As grassroots representatives, we are fully behind the Tinubu-Shettima team for another term,” he said.The councillors also highlighted the achievements of Vice
President Kashim Shettima, describing him as a proud son of Borno State who has continued to represent the region with dignity and vision.
They credited his influence and contributions for attracting federal projects and developmental initiatives to the state.
They urged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of the administration’s reforms, noting that ongoing efforts in agriculture,
education, and social investment programs will soon yield tangible benefits for citizens.The endorsement by the Borno councillors adds to a growing wave of
support for the Tinubu-Shettima administration as political activities begin to intensify ahead of the next general elections.
