Barrister Chukwudi Ejimakor, the Director of the Nnamdi Kanu Legal Team, has accused the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Rufai Bichi, and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Mohammed Mohammed, of being responsible for the extraordinary rendition of Nnamdi Kanu.

Ejimakor alleged that Bichi and Mohammed signed the affidavit and other documents that led to Kanu’s extraordinary rendition from Kenya to Nigeria in 2021. He claimed that the duo’s actions were unlawful and violated international law.

Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is facing charges of terrorism and treason. His extradition from Kenya to Nigeria has been a contentious issue, with his lawyers arguing that it was illegal and inhumane.

The Nigerian government has maintained that Kanu’s extradition was lawful and followed due process. However, Ejimakor’s allegations have sparked renewed controversy over the matter.

The case has sparked widespread attention and debate, with many calling for Kanu’s release and an end to the persecution of IPOB members. The situation remains fluid, with further developments expected in the coming days.
